We have the following openings:
Mail Room Technician
Collects, sorts, and distributes incoming, outgoing, and inter-office mail for Aldersgate UMRC residents and staff. Picks up incoming mail at US Post Office. Sorts and distributes same to Aldersgate URMC residents and various departments. Collects sorts and distributes inter-office mail. Processes outgoing mail. Determines cost of mailing letters, packages, etc. and applies postage accordingly. Delivers mail to US Post Office. Responsible for adhering to postal regulations in handling and processing mail. Maintains postage stamp cash box and postage meter. Forwards mail to new address or responsible party as required. Assists with deliveries and other duties in the Materials Management department as they pertain to supplies and supply distribution. Delivers all packages. Ability to read and write English and perform simple math. Clerical experience preferred. Majority of time spent standing and walking. Moderate amounts of time spent sitting and lifting. Required to lift up to 70 pounds.
Must have valid NC Driver’s License and clean driving record.
