COORDINATOR, NURSE AIDE; INSTRUCTOR
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university required. Requires at least two years of increasingly responsible professional experience as a registered nurse (4,000 hours) and one of the following: experience in teaching and or counseling at a post-secondary level; or completion of a course in teaching adults; or experience in supervising nurse aides. Also requires at least one year (2,000 hours) of professional experience required as a RN in the provision of long term care facility services demonstrated by one of the following: working in a long term care facility licensed as a skilled nursing facility; or working in a skilled nursing facility which is a distinct part of the hospital; or supervising or teaching students in a long term care facility licensed as a skilled nursing facility which is a distinct part of a hospital. Possession of a current unrestricted license or multi-state licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina. Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license. Instruct classes on Caldwell and Watauga campuses in assigned division a minimum of 16-20 contact hours per week; plan, coordinate and evaluate all assigned activities with instructors, other college programs, divisions, departments and outside agencies and regulatory boards; provide highly responsible and complex administra¬tive support to the Director, Career and Health Services.
