Live Production Coordinator:

The Live Production Coordinator is responsible for scheduling drivers and contract haulers, directing distribution activities, and resolving flock related scheduling logistics issues. Also, to assist with turkey farm production inventory supervision, reporting and other tasks as required..
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and maintains driver's & contract drivers daily work schedule based on forecast, inventory, and vendor requirements, while being mindful of employment stabilization, Farm status, and maximizing logistics efficiency.
Works closely with the Loading crew to ensure proper reporting. Which may include some night time farm visits.
Attend all meetings relevant to scheduling.
Works closely with Plant liaisons to stay in tune with processing plants schedule changes to provide efficient scheduling for the Circle S team.
Oversees drivers and resolve any issues or complaints.
Collaborate with customer service and sales representatives to ensure high levels of productivity and service.
Keeps Live operations informed of schedules & schedule adjustments as necessary.
Research the most cost productive routes for deliveries.
Complete & distribute reports daily, weekly, monthly & as requested.
Monitor overtime compared to routes.
Verifies accuracy of daily transactions in production through logs & reporting systems.
Ensure compliance with budgetary needs.
Updates master and works with controller on projection changes.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Assist with accident Investigations, Clean ups, & Reporting.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy with commitment to customer service and meeting deadlines.
Strong understanding of effective routing and transportation cost savings measures.
Should possess good computer skills including MS Office Suite and knowledge of routing and scheduling software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual preferred.
Must have ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and have strong problem solving skills.
Must have a high degree of organization and prioritization skills and must be able to perform tasks with minimal direction from management.
Must have strong analytical abilities and have the ability to solve problems in a detailed, comprehensive manner.
Possess knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements.
Ability to motivate and develop employees.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in transportation, planning, logistics or related role or equivalent combination of education and experience. Agricultural industry experience helpful.

The employee may be required to travel and will be exposed to normal driving conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
