City of High Point seeks person to perform complex and administrative work overseeing the City's surveying activities. Supervision is exercised over all survey party personnel. This position reports directly to the Engineering Services Director. The City Surveyor maintains vertical and horizontal control for the entire city, schedules, assigns, checks, and supervises the work of survey parties engaged in the collection of survey data to be used in the construction of City streets, storm drainage, water and sewer utilities, and related improvement projects. This position is responsible for preparing maps for right-of-way and easements, and for using ACAD Civil 3D to create linework and surface models from survey data to be used in the design of public engineering projects and property surveys.
Position requires: Must possess or be able to obtain within one (1) year, a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of North Carolina. Must have extensive experience in layout of public works and utility construction, property surveys, and related field work. Must have supervisory experience, experience using computer surveying programs, and extensive experience using ACAD Civil 3D to create linework and surface models from survey data.
Hiring Salary range from $51,508.20 - $69,908.84 annually with excellent benefits.
