Electric Engineer
Energy Services Electric Engineer: Serving as the subject matter expert for electric compliance; maintaining and operating electric system model; preparing and maintaining compliance reports and audit responses; serving as project manager on electric transmission and distribution extensions for new customers and system improvement projects. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of electrical/civil engineering as related to the preparation of plans and specifications for electric system; thorough knowledge of modern methods and techniques as applied to the design of utility projects; thorough knowledge of electric operations to provide customers and fellow employees the engineering principles for projects; knowledge of local, State, and Federal laws and regulations related to electric utilities: ability to perform difficult engineering computations and to make recommendations on engineering problem. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in electrical engineering, civil engineering or related field and experience in electric utility engineering.
Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of North Carolina.
Salary range $64,709.00 to $86,195.00.
