Fire Analyst

City of Monroe Fire Analyst (Part Time): Performs intermediate skilled, technical, and analytical support functions to facilitate the analysis of fire department programs, services, systems and performance; does related work as required. Work is performed under supervision of the Deputy Fire Chief. Performs quality assurance review of datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards and procedures; develops and manages data standards and reporting tools; supports data integration from other agencies. General knowledge of fire department functions, operations and activities; knowledge of fire department records management systems. General proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher. Basic knowledge of Geographical Information Systems; Computer Aided Dispatch; Records Management System preferred. General understanding of the National Fire Incident Reporting System and National Fire Protection Association standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats. Analytical and problem-solving skills; detailed oriented. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by course work in statistics, computer science, business, or related field. Experience in a public safety or local government environment, fire or crime data analysis preferred.

Salary range $40,414 – 62,650 annually.
