Land Development and Infrastructure Engineer
City of Monroe Land Development and Infrastructure Engineer: Performs advanced technical and professional work administering the City’s Erosion and Sedimentation Control Program and overseeing land development; administering environmental policies and construction plans comply with applicable ordinances and statutes; performs difficult, professional, and responsible administrative work participating in the planning, design and construction of a variety of public works and utility facilities; does related work as required. Planning, directing, and designing engineering projects; developing and administering environmental policies; administering engineering contracts; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. Researches, develops, implements and administers environmental policies relating to erosion control, sedimentation and land development. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field and extensive experience in civil engineering work. Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina.
