Line Apprentice II or III/Journeyman
Assisting in the construction and maintenance of electric distribution systems and related facilities. Some knowledge of electric line construction and maintenance and the hazards encountered; ability and willingness to learn to set poles, string wire, and perform related work; strength to perform manual work and physical stamina to withstand working under adverse weather conditions; ability to climb poles. Works outside normal hours in emergencies and performs on-call duties. Work is performed under close supervision of an Electric Line Crew Leader.
This is heavy work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions
Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and minimal experience in the electrical field.
Salary can range from a minimum of $35,506 to a maximum of $76,898 annually.
