Stormwater Engineering Supervisor
City of Monroe Stormwater Engineering Supervisor: The City of Monroe is seeking a Stormwater Engineering Supervisor to perform advanced technical and professional work administering the City’s Stormwater Management Program planning, designing, and construction; administering environmental policies and, compliance with applicable ordinances and statutes; does related work as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering. Supervision is exercised over subordinate technical and clerical personnel. Planning, directing, and designing engineering projects; developing and administering environmental policies; administering engineering contracts; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering as applied to land development and stormwater management; ability to plan, lay out, and direct the work of subordinates; ability to inspect projects for compliance with ordinance and code provisions; ability to prepare plans and specifications in the area assigned; thorough knowledge of modern methods and techniques as applied to the design of public works and stormwater projects; ability to perform difficult engineering computations and to make thorough recommendations on engineering problems and planning; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, associates, land developers, contractors and the general public. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field and extensive experience in public works and stormwater management. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina. Salary range $60,882-$101,379.
