Facilities Supervisor
The job of Director of Facilities is done for the purposes of planning, organizing and supervising activities of personnel engaged in keeping district facilities in a clean and orderly condition and maintaining and repairing the utility systems and physical structures of district facilities; supervising grounds maintenance projects and crews; ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines; preparing and managing the annual budgets for the maintenance and grounds departments; and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and other resources.
The candidate must have an independent work ethic, good judgment capabilities, have the ability to maintain positive public relations, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and able to create a positive work environment. The candidate must have successful experience in leading people and managing large-scale projects. The candidate must be computer literate, be able to interpret technical data and demonstrate an ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals.
