Information Technology and Computing Services (ITCS) is the central agency that supports enterprise-wide computing at East Carolina University. The Audiovisual Design and Engineering (AVDE) team is responsible for new AV solutions across ECU with the primary focus being academic spaces. This includes AV design consultation, control system programming, turn-key AV system integration, and project management of all aspects of an AV install. AVDE is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementation of AV standards across the university.
As a AV Designer & Programmer, you handle these tasks:
- Tier Three AV Support
- AV System Programming
- AV System Monitoring and Reporting
- AV Installation Quality Assurance
- AV Project Coordination

We are looking for a candidate with these preferred skills:
- Crestron Control System Programming
- Extron Control System Programming
- Industry Training and Certifications by AVIXA, Crestron, Bi-Amp, and Extron
- Knowledge of Windows and Apple Operating Systems
- TCP/IP Networking
- Videoconferencing
- Experience in Audiovisual Systems and Associated Equipment
- Customer Service Experience
