Elon University is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant for Elon College, the College of Arts & Sciences. The administrative assistant works closely with the dean to assure effective delivery of central responsibilities of the office. The person filling this role must be highly organized, able to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and possess initiative and good decision-making, as appropriate. The position is central to efficient functioning of the College of Arts and Sciences, which includes 20 academic departments and multiple interdisciplinary programs. Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 3-5 years of significant office administrative experience.
Applicants should be able to create processes that lead to well-organized office management; deploy tools such as Office365, Access, Colleague, Moodle, Sharepoint, WordPress, etc.; communicate with others through written, oral, and interpersonal skills; work as a part of a team and independently; handle confidential information with integrity; and continue to grow and develop in the position.
