Registered Medical Assistant Instructor-Continuing Education
Fayetteville Technical Community College, located in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking qualified applicants for a full time Registered Medical Assistant Instructor.
The Registered Medical Assistant program prepares individuals for employment as multi-skilled front and back office medical assistant. Qualified candidates will provide quality instruction and services to students and pursue and maintain current awareness of the College’s growth and expansion. Candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of a career that includes flexibility and willingness to change; open-mindedness, fairness and the ability to see multiple perspectives; a willingness to take risks, and willingness to accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.. This position is located in Fayetteville, NC.
Duties:

Provide quality instruction for face-to-face and online classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.

Incorporate latest instructional & interactive learning technologies in course delivery.

Assist in recruiting new students into the program.

Advise and register students who are in the program.

Monitor and improve student retention.

Provide recommendations for program changes based on industry trends and input from the advisory board.

Provide input on program review, assessment, and other departmental activities.

Maintain face-to-face and/or online classroom environments conducive to student learning, engagement and retention.

Maintain accurate scholastic and membership records of students enrolled in classes and prepare and submit reports as required.

Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.

Participate in faculty committees and other activities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Allied Health field is preferred. Active Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with 4 year work experience with concentration in clinical skills and office administration to include Phlebotomy and EKG
Preferred Requirements: Bachelor Degree or higher in Allied Health field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the classroom the community college or four-year university. On-line teaching experience. Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Extensive experience, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
