SNAP2Skills is a grant-funded project of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) that is designed to provide States the technical assistance, tools and resources they need to build more effective and job-driven SNAP Education and Training (E&T) programs. The anticipated length of funding for this grant is at least one year, with additional grant funding to be evaluated annually.

The SNAP2Skills Education Navigator manages the Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Education and Training (E&T) program activities in collaboration with the Coordinator of Occupational and Continuing Education. This position will create and implement best practices for working with the Lincoln County Department of Social Services to strengthen the ability to serve Food and Nutrition Services Education & Training (FNS E&T) participants, meet with students to guide program selection, create career pathways, and assist students facing challenges along the way. The Education Navigator will serve as a liaison to the College to ensure effective communication in the interest of student progress and engagement, and will have a role in retention initiatives at the department and College-wide level.
