Description
General Summary:
Works as an integral part of the health care team. Performs all radiographic examinations in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Radiology department. Assists with patient care and back office duties under the supervision of the Supervisor.
Performs dual role as key person for Radiology and back office operations.

Radiology Responsibilities:
Education: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Medical Assistants must have graduated from a medical assisting program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Medical assistants who do not hold the AAMA certification are eligible for front office positions or positions that are non-clinical in nature and do not require direct patient care as part of their job description.
Experience: One year clinical experience in acute care or an ambulatory setting preferred.
Certificate/License: Proof of graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, Rad Tech. license thru the State of Indiana, and AART certification, preferred.
