CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT
A Corporate Accountant is wanted in Charlotte NC to provide accounting support for a
restaurant. Job duties include: Prepare, post and maintain journal entries into restaurant’s general ledger utilizing Intuit Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel; Prepare general ledger account
reconciliations and analyze all account activity; Create financial reports, utilizing NCR Aloha
Restaurant Management Software; Analyze data in NCR Aloha Restaurant Management
Software to determine the cost of goods sold, determine the average ticket amount, reduce
operational inefficiencies, identify shrinkage, and eliminate food spoilage; Develop a restaurant
budget, based on labor costs, food costs and other external factors. Present budget to restaurant
management, utilizing Microsoft Excel; Provide financial risk analysis reports at the request of
restaurant management; Interface with restaurant’s outside accounting firm and comply with
outside accounting firm’s document requests; Stay abreast to changes in U.S. tax law and
analyze tax law changes to the advantage of the restaurant; Calculate sales tax withheld by
outside vendors and delivery companies and document withheld taxes utilizing Microsoft Excel;
Calculate tip outs to service staff that follow controlling tax law and labor law. Report tip out
amounts to management, utilizing Microsoft Excel; Prepare and dispatch IRS forms K-1 to
restaurant owner(s); Prepare and issue IRS forms 1099 to outside vendors and services utilizing
Intuit Online; Organize and create depreciation schedules in compliance with controlling GAAP.
Report depreciation schedules utilizing Intuit Turbo Tax to report restaurant’s personal property
tax to the county; Calculate payroll taxes and document payroll tax burden utilizing Intuit
Quickbooks; Perform cash and credit card reconciliations leveraging bank deposit information
and restaurant data; Monitor bank reporting of cash deposits; Provide 1st level approval of all
bank withdrawals from the restaurant bank account; Participate in the preparation of loan
applications by inputting financial information and providing lenders with supporting financial
evidence; and partner with accounts receivable on invoicing and collections on restaurant
activities and programs. A minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related area is
