HVAC Commercial/Industrial Duct Mechanic/Equipment Installer
Full-time immediate opening for experienced commercial duct and equipment installers. Must have 7 to 10 years of commercial/industrial mechanical construction experience. Most of our work is located within the Charlotte/piedmont area but, installers must be willing and able to complete overnight travel to projects throughout North and South Carolina. OSHA 10 Hour is preferred, but safety and other job specific training will be provided.
Our work includes the installation of mechanical equipment (sidewall and roof mounted exhaust fans, gas and electric unit heaters, louvers, dampers, and actuators, air handlers and condensers. We install mechanical ductwork systems including galvanized, aluminum, stainless-steel, and fiberglass duct using slip and drive, TDC, TDF and bolted connections.
- $18 to $25 per hour commensurate with experience
- Company vehicle will be provided
- Paid vacation and holidays
Minimum Requirements:
- Follow instructions and be reliable
- Possess a can-do attitude and participate as a team member
- Complete work safely and according to plans and specifications
- Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by our insurance carrier
- Possesses both written and verbal English language skills
- Able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check
- Ability to lift 75 lbs., stand, bend, stoop, climb, and pull continuously
- Maintain dependable transportation to Charlotte area jobsites
- Possess personal hand tools required for the trade
Preferred Experience:
- Ability to install refrigerant and condensate lines is a plus
- Ability to perform HVAC charging and startup is a plus
- Ability to install gas piping to the equipment is a plus
- Building Automation Controls experience is a plus
- Scissors lift certification is a plus
- EPA Certification is a plus
