The Iredell County Partnership for Young Children is seeking the following:
Professional Development Specialist (Region 9)
Primary Purpose of Position:
The Professional Development Specialist for Region 9 is responsible for working with early childhood professionals as well as local, regional and statewide partners to create, deliver and promote professional development trainings for early childhood professionals; develop presentations and implement programs that promote professional development; ensure that in-service training is of high quality and meets the training requirements of the Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE). Also serves as a back-up to Child Care Solutions’ Resource & Referral Specialist with both referrals and data entry.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to early childhood education, child development, or human services from an accredited college or university, plus or including at least 18 birth to five focused semester hours, and four (4) or more years’ related experience as an early childhood professional required. Must currently hold a minimum of a level 11 NC Early Care and Education Professional Certification (EEC) with PD Endorsements or be willing to obtain within a year of employment. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
