District Manager
The James Island Public Service District is conducting a search for a District Manager.
Duties include planning, directing, and organizing the administrative and operational activities of the District in accordance with the policies of the District Commission. The District consists of the Administration, Fire, Wastewater, Fleet and Solid Waste Departments. The District Manager reports to the Commission through the guidance of the Commission Chair.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Public Administration or other closely related field plus eight (8) years of high level management, administrative and financial experience, preferably in local government, or in a business enterprise, social services agency, or State department; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or other closely related field plus ten (10) years of high level management, administrative and financial experience, preferably in local government, or in a business enterprise, social services agency, or State department. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills.
