Electrical Assembler II
Works independently or as part of a team. Responsible for building, testing, repairing and installing basic and moderately complex electro-mechanical assemblies. Participates in the building of complex electro-mechanical assemblies incorporating electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in accordance to blueprint specification under minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Efficiently participates in the building, wiring & troubleshooting of basic and moderately complex electro-mechanical assemblies such as Post Process Gauge assemblies and installations, Automated Systems Assemblies, Feeder Table Assemblies and Installations, Transfer Station Assemblies and Installations, Re-chuck Station Assemblies and installations, Filtration Station Assemblies and installations.
- Post Process gages.
- Flip stations
- Orientation stations
- Middle shuttles
- Special part in feed and out feed systems
- Electrical Panels
- Delegate responsibilities while taking the lead on basic to moderately complex electro-mechanical machine assemblies, installations and multi-machine installations. Works independently and in a team environment and under the direction of Electrical Assembler III.
- Examine component parts for defects, recognize engineering design issues, initialize component inspection procedures and implement corrective actions (Return to Stock Forms, Formal Component Inspection and/or Engineering Change Requests).
- Measure parts (electro-mechanical parts & electrical boxes to ensure conformance to specific dimensions and lay out reference points for holes, trim lines, part locations using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, optical equipment, alignment instruments etc.
- Ensure fit and clearance of components parts by using hand tools and power tools.
- Align, fit and assemble hydraulic, structural and mechanical components typically associated with, but not limited to electro-mechanical assemblies and installations using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand and power tools.
- - Proficiency using pliers, wire cutters, crimping tools, soldering tools, wrenches, screwdrivers and other hands tools as required.
- Test functional performance and the ability to troubleshoot completed assemblies such as electrical circuit assemblies, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, linear guide alignment using appropriate test equipment and assembly procedures.
- Strong soldering skills, (electrical connectors, Amphenol connectors, etc.), soldering certification preferred.
- Rework, replace, and realign parts, adjust valves, re-torques fittings, and retest units to ensure conformance to engineering specifications.
- Responsible for quality inspection and engineering specification compliance of own work and the work of associates working under their direction.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two to three years’ experience working in production/manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification preferred.
Crane Operator
Responsible for operating both stationary and traveling, overhead cranes and fork lifts to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane and/or forklift before attempting any lifts.
The Crane/Fork lift Operator is accountable for safe and efficient work practices. In addition to rigging responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be required to perform machine installations as well as elementary assembly tasks.
Overhead Crane Related Responsibilities
- Observes load hookup, determines and is responsible for the safety of all loads and personnel.
- Manipulate or depress cane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
- Operates traveling or stationary overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials, using hoisting attachments, such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, or buckets.
- Inspects crane for defective parts on a daily basis and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
- Complete job tickets, service quality summaries, and all other necessary paperwork.
- Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanisms.
- Work with in precise limits and standards of accuracy.
- Operate crane according to signals from helper.
- Follow directions carefully.
Fork Lift Related Responsibilities
- Safety, Receiving/Put-Away: Unload & load inbound & outbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
- Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
- Quality: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
- Order Picking: Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
- Loading: Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers/onto trailers.
Equipment:
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
Inventory:
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories.
Mechanical Assembly Assignments
- Fundamental Mechanical Assemblies – When time allows, participate in machine installation procedures and fundamental mechanical assembly tasks
Safety, Sanitation, Security:
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Maintenance: Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required
Qualifications
Minimum requirement is a High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating crane/fork lift in a production environment. Experience in inventory management, flexible, good communication skills, and a sense of urgency.The Crane/Forklift operator requires satisfactory completion of in-house, Crane/Forklift training program

- Participates in the building of complex mechanical assemblies such as Post Process Gauge Assemblies and Sub-assemblies and automated systems Assemblies which incorporate electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems according to blueprint specifications using hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and test equipment.
- Delegate responsibilities while taking the lead on basic to moderate complex machine assemblies, installations and multi-machine installations. Work independently and in a team environment and under the direction of Precision Assembler III.
