Clinical effort will consist of approximately 95% of time consisting of 12-14 weeks per year of inpatient call for the combined pediatric hematology /oncology/EMT service, as well as an average of 2 clinic days per week when not on the inpatient service. Incumbent will have their own primary clinic day in the pediatric hematology/oncology (PHO) clinic as well as FACT clinic 1-2 days per month. Incumbent will be the medical director of the FACT clinic. Incumbent will help cover the PHO clinic when other attending physicians are on call or away with potential additional coverage responsibilities needed depending on other situations within the division. Academic Effort will consist approximately 5% of time. Incumbent will participate in fellow and resident lectures and serve as a mentor for fellows for journal club, morbidity and mortality, and tumor board. Incumbent will participate in regular divisional faculty meetings and weekly divisional patient review meetings. Will lead the PHO inpatient and outpatient resident and M4 student rotations.
Minimum requirements:
MD degree and 72 months training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology; Eligible for a South
Carolina medical license and eligible for board certification in pediatric hematology/oncology.
