AboutThe North Carolina Real Estate Commission is an independent North Carolina state governmental agency whose mission is to protect the public interest in real estate brokerage transactions. The primary function of the Commission is to license and regulate North Carolina’s approximately 90,000 plus real estate brokers and firms. The Commission also registers and regulates sales activities at time share projects, and oversees prelicensing, postlicensing, and continuing education for brokers and applicants for brokers licenses.
