Automation Controls Engineer I
Design successful solutions for large-scale dust extraction & ind. air filtration equipment. Collaborate with Project Design Team and MCT Division to create loT Monitoring Dashboards in Insight Cloud Based Platform for End User Solutions. Commission, test and debug turn-key electrical measurement, loT monitoring and control solutions to eliminate defects, errors and problems with product or software development. Train End User staff on use of Insight loT Monitoring Platform and provide ongoing support for these accounts. Provide timely technical support to end-users and technical staff on new and legacy control systems. Participate in product localization, standardization, BOD (Basis of Design) and development on Insight measurement, monitoring and electrical controls programs to ensure solution meets local requirements. Coordinate and prioritize BOD (Basis of Design) development for use in key target markets. Architect, write, and debug PLC Programming Logic. Generate organized & structured code for customized systems. Design control panels in compliance with North American Electrical & Safety Standards (NEC NFPA, UL508A, etc.). Min Reqts: BS in EE or closely related tech eng field, or for. deg. equiv. Exp (2 years) as Electrical or Control Eng or closely related pos. must include 2 yrs industrial ventilation solution design & troubleshooting; 18 mos w/ production machinery, industrial sensors [VFDs, temperature / flow / pressure controllers / sensors] and particulate monitors, to include field & remote support of commissioning process and troubleshooting systems; 18 mos on process integration and electromechanical/mechatronic systems using field bus networks, serial communication & Ethernet communication; 18 mos designing systems and creating documentation to meet requirements for facilities handling combustible and non-combustible materials, & meet relevant technical codes & standards - NEC, NFPA, OSHA & CSA.
