ERP Functional Associate Director
General Description:
This individual will coordinate with security office to advise on appropriate levels of access for functions across the college, and design, plan, implement, test, and assess the impact of configurations across all modules to drive improvements in staff efficiencies and student outcomes. This individual will provide recommendations for prioritizations of ERP projects, oversee ERP patch testing, and lead all ERP improvement projects. This individual will manage stakeholder relationships with directors across the institution, and will coordinate with state working groups to deliver improvements and innovations from their team to the entire Virginia community college system.
Duties and Tasks:
- Supervision of ERP Functional Support Team: Manage and lead a team of functional experts responsible for supporting PeopleSoft ERP, including Student Information System (SIS), Accounting Information System (AIS), and Human Capital Management (HCM) modules.
- Coordination with Security Office: Advise and collaborate with the security team to ensure appropriate access levels are maintained for staff and users across the institution.
- ERP System Configuration: Design, plan, implement, test, and assess ERP system configurations across all modules to enhance efficiencies and improve student and staff outcomes.
- Patch Management and Testing: Oversee the testing and deployment of ERP patches, ensuring that they are appropriately prioritized, tested, and implemented with minimal disruption to end-users.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with directors and key stakeholders across the institution, acting as the liaison between functional experts and end-users.
- Project Leadership: Lead all ERP improvement and innovation projects, prioritizing initiatives based on stakeholder needs, system enhancements, and institutional goals.
- Collaboration with Statewide Working Groups: Act as the institutional representative to statewide working groups within the Virginia community college system, ensuring the delivery of team innovations and improvements to the entire system.
Make regular requests from employees for updates and input on college decisions and share feedback with supervisors for inclusion in the NOVA Brief
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Demonstrated high-level analytical skills involving complex projects that utilize data from multiple sources.
- Ability to complete projects on time and to work with a minimum of supervision and guidance.
- Knowledge of People Soft Student Administration, Oracle SQL and related query tools.
- Ability to work on the PC platform and to use applications software, data structures and utilities, operating systems, and communication interfaces within the computing environment.
- Ability to work independently and determine methodology.
- Skilled ability to be logical and detail oriented from requirement analysis to development and testing to ensure error free product solutions are robust and meet user needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with customer service
- Experience troubleshooting complex data problems in college information systems
- Experience working in a college setting
Additional Considerations:
- Experience with the People Soft Student Administration application, familiarity with the Oracle RDMS, proficiency in SQL and SQR.
