Spine Research Associate

The Spine Research Associate will work with the Center for Outcomes-Based Orthopaedic Research Team at The Steadman Philippon Research Institute. The Spine Research Associate will perform clinical research activities related to different aspects of back and spine orthopaedic surgery and procedures. This position requires data management and analysis ability, technical writing skills and the ability to complete research projects. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research under primary direction of the Director of Center for Outcomes-Based Orthopaedic Research Collaborate with investigators and clinic research staff to design sound research methodology and SOPs Perform and oversee data collection, database development, and analysis of multiple concurrent studies Coordinate research projects and manage the timing of several concurrent projects Completes research documents in a professional and coherent manner with minimal oversight Submit, present and publish scientific works; assist in the review and preparation of all manuscripts and abstracts for publication
Attributes and Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree required 2+ years experience in research, preferably clinical research Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated proficiency in scientific methods, experimental design, data collection and statistical analysis Knowledge of computer programming, SPSS statistical analysis software package, MySQL and Microsoft Office products Ability to learn quickly, ask good questions, and collaborate effectively to drive projects to completion.
