Responsibilities:
- Maintain and balance General Ledger and Trial balance accounts.
- Follow procurement procedures matching purchase order and invoices.
- Enter invoices in system and run weekly checks.
- Monthly control of payable aging report.
- Prepare deposits and post all cash receipts.
- Prepare monthly journal vouchers.
- Help with month-end-closing books.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any claims.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Prepare annual 1099 tax report.
- Assists with annual audit requirements.
- Assist with annual budget control.
- Assist Accountant with bank transactions.
- Assisting with creating policies and procedures.
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good communication (Verbal & Written) Bilingual English / Spanish
- Strong Excel, Microsoft Office and Fund Accounting software skills. Experience using MIP & Microix is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- High degree of accuracy, attention to details and confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3 to 5 years in General Accounting Experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
