Financial Management Analyst
Financial Management Analyst at the University of Utah's Decision Support in SLC: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience performing financial analysis, or a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field plus 2 years of employment experience performing financial analysis. The four, or two years of experience, respectively, must also include 12 months experience: with SQL and data analysis; using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or BusinessObjects); and with data mining, cleaning, exploration, feature engineering, and data visualization; the twelve months of experience requirements can be satisfied through employment, training or an academic program.
The financial management analyst on the Decision Support team will perform ad-hoc reporting, financial analysis, pro forma analysis, cost accounting, statistical analysis, and economic and healthcare data research to identify business trends in complex data sets and to develop actionable insights; will conduct qualitative and quantitative research into health records data at the patient, encounter level, and patient demographics; will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of analysts, data warehouse architects, clinical leaders, physicians, and other stakeholders to apply advanced statistical modeling approaches like descriptive statistics, regression modeling, and predictive analytics to drive business solutions.
