Housekeepings Aids
As a Housekeeping Aide you will perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning tasks and routine housekeeping duties with minimal supervision. The primary purpose of the work is specific to cleaning inpatient rooms, surgical operating rooms, clinical rooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other medical and public areas.
Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Sweep, mop and scrub floors
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets
- Clean furniture, air vents, walls, windows and ceilings
- Empty waste baskets and refill soap dispensers
- Operate a variety of electric and battery powered equipment
- Handles regulated biomedical waste as well as clean/soiled linen
Work Schedule: One of three shifts may be offered: 7:00am - 3:30pm; 3:00pm - 11:30pm; or 12:00am - 8:30am; Days off will vary; shifts may change due to the needs of the service and may include Rotating Shifts, nights, weekends and holidays. Details will be discussed during the interview or at time of selection. Management reserves the right to determine and change tour of duty.
