Brief Description of Position: Under the direction of the Dean and Department Head, the program coordinator’s primary purpose is the planning and operational aspects of the program and to insure the viability, currency and integrity of the program. The coordinator position is a teaching position and may carry a full teaching load in addition to responsibilities as program coordinator.
Courses to instruct may include
- Cutting Processes - SMAW (stick) Plate/Pipe
- SMAW (stick) Plate - GTAW (TIG) Plate/Pipe
- GMAW (MIG) FCAW/Plate - Fabrication I
- GTAW (TIG) Plate - Certification Practices
- Symbols and Specifications - Inspection & Testing
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Associate’s Degree in Welding Technology or related field (e.g., Industrial Systems Technology) is required.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Career and Technical Education with a focus in Welding or related field (e.g. Engineer) preferred.
3. Certification(s) from the American Welding Society (AWS) preferred.
4. Verifiable work experience in the field required.
5. Minimum of 3 years of related industrial experience preferred.
6. Teaching experience preferred.
Salary: Hiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($4,716 – 6,560/monthly) 9-month contract
