Western Piedmont Community College is seeking to fill the following position:
Director of Grants and Sponsored Projects
The Director of Grants and Sponsored Projects, under the direction of the Executive Director, Western Piedmont Foundation, is responsible for the development, submission, administration, and close out of funding proposals that advance the mission of Western Piedmont Community College and assist in the implementation of the institution’s long and short-term goals and objectives. This position will also provide grant support to Catawba Valley Community College.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Specialized training in grant research and proposal development preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication, Social Sciences, Education, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Three years grant development and/or administrative experience for a non-profit agency or organization, preferably an educational institution, required.
- Advanced word processing and software application skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to independently plan, initiate and complete approved assignments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of external funding sources.
- Ability to draft clear, concise narratives, correspondence, budgets and other documents.
Salary: Hiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($3,575 – 4,468/monthly)
