Western Piedmont Community College is seeking to fill the following position:
Educational Resource Facilitator
Interested in encouraging individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed in higher education? Western Piedmont Community College has a position opening that may be the right fit for you. We are seeking an Educational Resource Facilitator dedicated to providing academic, career, and financial counseling to qualifying students grades 6 through 12 to encourage them to graduate from high school and continue on to complete their postsecondary education.
Under the direction of the Educational Talent Search Director and the Dean of Student Services, the Educational Resource Facilitator (ERF) will conduct project services and activities for approximately 350 participants in assigned schools. Services and activities may include: career exploration, exposure to college campuses, assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications, workshops for families of participants, and special activities for participants. This position is grant funded.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education, background, and/or training equivalent to a bachelor’s degree required.
- Professional experience in student development.
- Demonstrated commitment to the goals of the project.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to people of all ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in handling confidential material required.
Salary: Hiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($2,843 – 3,554/monthly)
