The instructor’s primary purpose is the teaching, planning and operational aspects of the program. The Instructor, Computer Integrated Machining Technology, under the direction of the Department Head of Engineering, will help provide leadership for the program. This instructor will teach many if not all of the core (program specific) courses in the programs and will develop and maintain the programs of study, individual courses and related laboratories, software, equipment and supplies. The instructor is directly supervised by the division dean, department head or coordinator; however, it is the instructor who has the initial responsibility to ensure the viability, currency, and integrity of the program. The instructor is a teaching position which may carry a full teaching load in addition to other program related responsibilities. Courses to instruct include: Print Reading, Machining Technology I, II, III, and IV, CNC, Metrology, Machining Calculations, CAM, Production Tooling, Jigs and Fixtures, Metallurgy, and others.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Three years of directly related industrial manual and CNC machining experience required.
  2. A.S. or higher in Computer Integrated Machining Technology or equivalent preferred.
  3. CAM, Industrial Maintenance, Inspection and GD&T experience or expertise preferred.
  4. Teaching experience at the community college level or higher preferred.

 

SalaryHiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($4,176 – 5,552/monthly) 9-month contract
