Job Summary
The Financial Planning Specialist is an in-house expert on financial planning initiatives and provides financial planning services to current and prospective clients of the Portfolio Managers/Advisors. While this position has client contact, it does not act as primary relationship manager. It does act as a team member designed to add value to current and future relationships of the firm. The position will require some travel, portfolio analysis and marketing support for the Portfolio Managers (PM). This position reports to Kyle Elliott, Principal at the 3605 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 450, Raleigh, NC 27612 location.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Financial Planning Specialist can expect to focus in the following areas:

Meet with clients/potential clients, and potentially with attorneys and CPAs, to obtain information necessary to develop and complete financial plan

Develop the financial plan with alternatives and recommendations, and frame the plan for presentation/delivery to the client

Drive all aspects of Financial Planning

Analyze client asset allocation, holdings and goals in order to assist PM in recommending improvements to client’s overall investment portfolio

Develop and gather marketing material relative to the PM’s efforts in attaining new business.

Help attract outside assets to the firm.
Qualifications
The Financial Planning Specialist position typically requires the following qualifications:

1-3 years experience in the financial services industry, with record of fiduciary responsibility.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, preferably with a CFP program
-
A CFP designation or ability to immediately enroll in such a program.

Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Strong analytical and planning capabilities, detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy

Excellent communication and listening skills
-
Client first attitude

Strong organizational skills
-
Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
-
Desire/ability to work successfully in a small sized company environment

Experience with MoneyGuidePro and Salesforce would be considered an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
Pay/benefits are competitive based on industry standards.

Salary will be based on experience (Salary range of $45-$55,000)
