Education Specialist / Retention Specialists Healthy Social Behaviors Project
Child Care Resources Inc. is accepting resumes for the positions of Education Specialist and Retention Specialist in the Promoting Healthy Social Behaviors in Child Care Centers Initiative. The Education Specialist will create high quality early childhood training on social-emotional development in young children consistent with IACET requirements, and will facilitate CEU-level training statewide. The Retention Specialist will create high quality early childhood training on preventing suspension/expulsion of young children from child care classrooms consistent with the NC Child Care Suspension-Expulsion Policy, facilitate this training across multiple counties, and develop a procedure manual to accompany the Policy. Experience with the CSEFEL Pyramid Model is preferred. Minimum requirements for both positions include a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or in a related field plus at least six focused semester hours in birth to five, at least three years of experience working with or on behalf of children ages birth to five, and experience in developing and conducting training. At least two professional letters regarding instructional experience and effectiveness from professionals who have experience with your facilitation abilities offering information about your training/teaching skills and effectiveness must be submitted with application. Flexible work schedule including night and weekend work and overnight travel is required. Position is grant funded.
